Maxatawny Township Voter Eligibility and Registration Information
You are eligible to vote in local, state and federal elections if:

  1. You have been a citizen of the United States for at least one month.
  2. You will be at least 18 years old on or before the day after the election.
  3. You have been a resident of Pennsylvania, Berks County, and your election district for at least 30 days before the election.

You can obtain a registration form from the Election Services Office, 663 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601.

Your completed application must be received by the County Board of Elections at least 30 days prior to the election at which you wish to vote.

Elections and Voting Information
In Pennsylvania, voter registration and elections are the responsibility of county government. For information on registering to vote, elections, how to run for office or elections results, call the Berks County Election Services Office at 610-478-6490. The office is located at 633 Court Street, Reading, Pa., and is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Primary elections are held on the third Tuesday in May or on the fourth Tuesday in April when presidential elections are held. General elections are conducted on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November.
